History
The Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies holds a distinguished position in the realm of humanities research in Iran. This institute strives to address various areas of humanities and develop its various aspects scientifically and professionally through specialized research.
Among the significant yet underexplored domains in Iran’s humanities studies is the study of security. The independent "Strategic Policy and Security Studies Group" was established within the institute, dedicated to advancing research in this critical area. Specifically, the group’s faculty members focus on conducting research into various dimensions of security, with an emphasis on its intersections with politics and society. This research group was formally recognized as an independent entity within the institute’s organizational structure in the winter of 2023.
Objectives:
- Conducting impactful fundamental and strategic research across diverse areas of security studies.
- Establishing an elite communication network in security studies and fostering collaboration with national security and executive institutions.
- Proposing security-related recommendations at social, political, and other levels.
