History

The approach to topics related to Islamic civilization in the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies is mainly pursued in the faculty of political thought, revolution and Islamic civilization. Among the scientific activities aimed at the Islamic civilization studies in this faculty, we can mention writing book and article as well as presenting scientific courses related to civilization at the doctoral level. The considering the importance and priority of civilization studies for IHCS, in the year 2021 and at the suggestion of the head of IHCS and the approval of the honorable board of trustees, the faculty of the Islamic Civilization was established.

 

Objectives

- The ongoing researching in the fields related to the modern Islamic civilization;

- The identifying and explaining the theoretical foundations and foundations of Islamic civilization;

- The comparative civilization studies;

- The improving the scientific capacities of the discipline of the civilization studies;

 - The Deepening the effective scientific literature in identifying the capacities of Islamic civilization with an emphasis on the position of Iran;

 - The expanding knowledge about various aspects of Islamic civilization in Iran, including based on Shiite, historical, identity and political reflections;

- The investigating and analyzing the challenges and opportunities of civilization under a pathological approach.

 

Scientific structure

This faculty includes three scientific groups with the titles of "Modern Islamic Civilization", "Strategic Studies of Islamic Civilization" and "Comparative Civilization studies".
