Religion and Spiritual Insight in the third Dinkard

Prof. Samara Azarnoosh, professor of religious studies in ancient Iran (Zoroastrian studies) at the Paris School of Higher Studies presented a lecture on religion and Spiritual insight in the third Dinkard on May 19, 2019 at the Institute of Humanities and Cultural Studies.

The Third Dinkard is one of the most important texts of middle Persian literature, consisting of 9 books. From this collection, the fourth to the ninth volumes and part of the third book are preserved. The third book is an important source for recognizing Zoroastrian religious opinions, jurisprudential and legal rulings, as well as the ethical patterns of the Mazdyasni tradition and is therefore of great importance.
