• Research on the most important issues of contemporary culture with the priority of contemporary Iranian culture issues
• Research on the methods of dialogue and approximation of cultures
• Research on contemporary Iranian culture in different theoretical -philosophical aspects, up to the concrete levels with particular attention to current processes in this culture and its future prospects

Research on the history of Iranian- Islamic culture in order to read out and rethink the intellectual-cultural legacy in contemporary world conditions

• Invitation to the culture scholars of various fields to participate in researches on the methods of culture-research, intercultural and Iranian culture studies.
• Collaboration and participation with foreign and local researchers in different fields of the institute activities
• Holding conferences and meetings or contribution in such programs for discussing contemporary culture issues

• Holding expertise meetings with the presence of local and foreign thinkers on the issues related to the institute activities
• Collaboration with research institutes at home and abroad within the research studies relevant to the institute activities
• Collaboration with scientific associations at home and abroad within the scope of research related to institute activities
• Publication of books, magazines and journals and creating a database in cyberspace in the field of the institute research activities
• Preparing the ground for student admission in the field of the activities of institute research groups
• Presence at local and foreign scientific conferences related to the institute research activities
• Providing consulting services or conducting research for other organizations and institutes within the field of the institute activities
