History
In response to the need of the society for applicable, fundamental and comprehensive research in the field of psychology, pedagogy and ethics, the faculty of Ethics and Pedagogy was approved in 2011 in the new structure of the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies; however, it was formally established in 2014. This faculty includes 3 research groups: ‘‘Studies of Intellectual Nurturing of Children and adolescent’’, ‘‘psychology’’ and ‘‘Fundamental and Practical Ethics’’.
By expanding of the scientist’s view, which is the necessity of the education of critical thought for children, the IHCS was among the first Asian institutes to make arrangements for establishing a research group in the educational field of the intellectual nurturing of children. The establishment of this group was approved under the title of ‘‘Philosophy for Children and adolescent’’, thanks to Dr. Saeid Naji with the support of Dr. Mahdi Golshani, who was the chief of IHCS at that time. They translated and published some relevant sources and conducted the initial research in this field. Another group from this faculty, ‘‘Psychology and Elm-Al-Nafs’’, began their activities in 2015. The research group of Practical Studies of Ethic began its activities in August 2015.
